   Sunday Afternoon - was the day of the AAAS March Meetup! (Austin Area Australian Shepherds). Hosted at the beloved Action Pack Dog Center's pool, in Round Rock, TX. Also, the evening brought a special fundraiser event for the The Joyful Horse Project in Lakeway, TX.

Last Weekend - Part III

  Sunday Morning - So after a late night out partying with friends, Hubby and I slept in lllaaatttteeee the next morning... Until 10am! Whoop! Yes, I really am excited about a ten am morning. I haven't slept past 8am in a year and a half. I LOVE sleeping in.

Last Weekend - Part II

   Saturday - morning was a very early morning. A seven AM wake-up alarm barely got me out the door on time and on my way to the ranch to pick up Donny and Roque.

Last Weekend - Part I

   Friday - was a crazy day, but a very nice day. The day was filled with pups, babies, horses, family, trailers, lots of driving, and sun! There wasn't anything else that could have made it a better day.

A First

    Donny will be turning four this summer. July 14th, 2008 RH Donatello was born to the world a small helpless foal. Three years and eight months later Donny is no longer that small little colt, and we are taking our first steps into the big scary world outside of the ranch.

Raised In A Barn

   When my daughter grows up and someone asks her if she was raised in a barn, she might as well just answer yes! At least, she will have spent a good deal of time at the barn growing up. And thankfully she loves to be there almost as much as I do.

Father / Daughter Time

  My husband loves Xbox. He loves to play his Xbox like I love to scrapbook, blog, and play with the dogs. It's not exactly a hobby that Ashlyn is old enough to participate in. But it sure is cute when she plops herself down next to Dad and pretends to play along.

Shoes!!!

  Some of you know that Ashlyn has been refusing to wear shoes since .. well, forever! She would scream and begin to shake. It was like the feeling and thought of having shoes on would send her into shock. Soft leather shoes even! It was so bad that I couldn't even sit down next to her with shoes or she would begin to scream.

Puppy Starter

  Some of you know that I've taken on my first training client. A beautiful black standard poodle named Duchess. She's so smart and a joy to work with. I'm amazed by the progress her family and her make every week.

Pink Cowboy Boots

   What's more adorable than pink cowboy boots? Well, my sister has some! She wore them for her riding lesson the other day for the first time. I couldn't resist but take a few photos.

Bath Time!

    So Donny hates water. Hates it! Puddles, rain, shadows that look like puddles, hoses, hoses spraying out water, and everything else that has to do with water. Which is awesome, seeing as I’d like him to do Eventing. Sarcasm

Ashlyn & Donny

    So Donny will be turning 4 this summer! And Ashlyn is just now a year old. My friend and I had an amazing idea the other day – how cute would it be to take photos of Ashlyn and Donny every year as they grow older together?!

Spring is Coming!

   I don’t think that spring is officially here yet, but the flowers have begun to show up. These flowers are the resilient little yellow ones that can survive another cold spell or two, but they are the first signs of warmth and sunshine!

The Surgery

  
    Well, I did it. Roque has said goodbye to his intact male youth. He can now be officially be trusted around those of the opposite gender. Well, I don't know about trusted, but let's just say Samantha and her siblings will be his last and only offspring.

  Well, the other day we headed out to the ranch and try as I might I got very few "posed" photos, mostly a bunch of candid photos. I really badly wanted a very cute photo of Samantha and Ashlyn together, and then Roque and Ashlyn together.We sort of accomplished that.

Outdoor Adventures

  As Ashlyn has reached the toddler stage it's become more and more enjoyable to go to parks and playgrounds and to play outside. Sometimes we go with friends, sometimes we go alone. But no matter who we are with we are always having fun!

Days of Sickness

  I've been sick the last few days. And so much has been going on! I started feeling really bad last Friday.. and here we are on Thursday the following week and I feel just as bad, if not worse.
