Florida 2015 - Part II

I've pretty much filled my phone and my Instagram feed with pictures from this trip and today is only day three of eight! But seriously, who could blame me? I have two precious babies, one of them is visiting their great grandparents and great aunt for the first time, and we're on a gorgeous beach. If there was ever a time for lots of photo taking it's now!

Florida 2015 - Part I

"Are we there yet?!"
Ashlyn has been absolutely loosing her mind with excitement. It probably started a week ago when she began counting down the days until our flight. Every hour or so she would ask me to tell her again how many more days.

Father's Day 2015

This year for Father's Day we had a lot of fun. We celebrated a day early this year, and at the family ranch with both sides of the family. It was a lot of work on my part but it was worth it.

He Just Keeps Growing

My little man just keeps growing! Soon he will be crawling around, then walking, then off to college and before you know it he will be bringing home that special someone. #gasp

Summer is Here

It's a little more challenging finding the time to blog with two kids! Especially when one of them doesn't like to take daytime naps. So not only am I finding it hard to get to sit down to type out a blog update, I'm also finding it hard to come up with the brain power to write something!

It Finally Stopped Raining

For those of you that didn't know. Texas has been being FLOODED. Literally. While those of us with property on the lake are extremely happy to have our water front property back, a lot of people have lost everything from the flooding. There's even been tornadoes.

One Month & Two Months

Time is flying by! My little man is already two months old. Can you believe it? He's growing up so fast. Part of me wants him to stop growing and stay this small forever. But then again, my favorite age has yet to come.

A Whole New World

The first couple months since he's been home have been a huge adjustment. Bringing home a new baby changes everything. Life comes to a screeching halt and your whole world revolves around one tiny little human all the sudden. It's like trying to learn to ride a bike all over again. Sometimes I seem to get it all right and I go merrily along the pathway, until I hit a bump and go tumbling head first off this bike and have to start all over again. Thankfully I have an amazing support team in my Husband and immediate family.

We've Gone Camping

I have to honestly say that I didn't think we would ever be the type of family to own a camper. I don't know why we wouldn't. I just didn't picture it really. It's cute though! And I think we will have lots of family adventures and memories made with this little camper.

A Rainy Day At The Park

We probably picked the worst day in the past two months to go to the park. It was rainy, chilly, super muddy, and rainy. But despite all that we bundled up, dawned our rain gear, and headed to the park.

He's Here ; The Big Day

I know I already told Landon's birth story, but I didn't share any photos or personal details from the day. Of course we took a bunch of photos! Who doesn't have a little personal camera (their smart phones) to capture those precious moments these days?

He's Here ; The 9 Months

It's crazy everything that can happen in just nine months. The time is takes for a little human to grow and be born inside of you seems like forever and also no time at all. Some days time just crawls by, and then one day (or middle of the night) you wake up and wonder where time has gone. It seems like just yesterday you were looking at that positive pregnancy test, having a minor anxiety attack, wondering how you're possibly going to be able to wait 9 more months to meet your baby!

He's Here!

With any birth, there is always quite the story to tell. As the years have gone by since Ashlyn's birth I realize how grateful I am to my "past self" for taking the time to document her birth. So here I am again, writing down the story of our son's arrival into this world.

To Florida and Back

I really can't imagine a more perfect trip away from home. I have never enjoyed vacations. Stressful, lots of work, and the unkown. But I find myself wishing I was back in Florida at least weekly... I can't express how happy I was there. The beach, the waves, the sun... therapeutic.

My New Car!!!!!

I'm so excited! Oh my gosh, after having a little tiny Toyota Camry from like ancient years (which ran great, but oh my gosh was small.) I drove trucks and tahoes and suburbans all growing up. So driving a small car for like a year was a different experience to say the least.

Adventures at Nameless

My whole family, my husband's family, plus a bunch of other family friends all went out camping this past weekend at my family's land in Leander. "Our Nameless Ranch". It had been a really long time since our little family had been out there so of course we wanted to join! Ashlyn and Roque were ecstatic, as was I.

Gymnastics

You know what's like the cutest thing in the world? Preschool gymnastics. Oh my gosh... those leotards, little kids running around, doing tumbles and all sorts of stuff. It's adorable to say the least.

Park Trails

Yesterday our little family hit the park trails and enjoyed a beautiful day outside. Fresh air, green grass, running water, cool temperatures, bluebonnets by the millions.... a little slice of heaven!

Rebuilding Routine

Today made me realize that I miss blogging! The kids and I had so much fun playing outside on this beautiful day. I took so many pictures and videos! I think I've overwhelmed my instagram. But I also have missed expressing myself through writing. It helps me think, process, and remember.

Pancakes

This morning Ashlyn got her first taste of an American tradition.. or at least I think it's American. It's probably not. But whatever, I just know I used to LOVE when my dad would make pancakes with us in the mornings.
