"Mickey" is my soul mate... in dog form. I love him with every fiber of my being. I could tell you that I found him, but really he found me. I didn't want an "older" dog when I was looking for my first "big" dog. I wanted a puppy. Poor guy. God knew better. Thankfully.
We found each other when he was just over 2 years old, at a local Petco up for adoption through a no-kill shelter. After a three week trial period Mickey was officially my life companion. His estimated birth date in April 19th 2002, but who knows how old he really is. He has taught me so many things in life and worked so hard to make me happy. Even at the presumably "past training" age of 2 years, Mickey quickly gained a couple dozen agility titles (making his way to the top as an "Elite" ranked agility dog) as well as earning his Canine Good Citizen award with ease. He's raised many puppies in his days and is still helping me shape up Roque. He's an excellent trial riding companion with my horses and enjoys nothing more than a long day out at the barn or a fast paced run through a tunnelers course in the agility ring!

"Roque" is my live wire, the comedian of the family. He lives to play, run, chase, work, run some more, play some more, and soak up all the attention he can get! He's as smart as a whip, quick as lightning and as funny as they come. His favorite thing in the world is to get a good back scratch or a rough and tumble cuddle/play time. He keeps me laughing.
At just 12 weeks old Roque came to live with our small family as my 21st birthday present in January of 2010. And while he still has a lot to learn, I'm absolutely amazed at his natural ability to be "just a good dog". Sure, he jumps up on people, barks at strangers, runs crazy through the house, startles easy, begs for food and harasses me constantly for attention. But what dog doesn't do all of that?! In just a years time Roque has become a steadfast part of our family. His ever goofy and adorable expression keeps my spirits lifted.
Roque's future is mainly focused on the competitive agility ring, but I also have plans for him to conquer the herding world, the conformation world, and possibly tracking and disk dog competitions. Roque is an excellent companion to have around the horses, he's been herding instinct tested with phenomenal results. Also, his potential for other venues is limitless!

Breezy Oaks Show Me The Money

In February "Vegas" became my sister's companion, living at the ranch with the rest of the gang. Vegas is just a couple months older than Roque and his half sister! They have the same stunningly handsome dad. CH. PARADIGMS BAYOULAND ON BROADWAY. Vegas has been trained in competitive Obedience and has multiple titles under her belt. She's begun training in Agility and is also the mother to my past litter born September 22nd 2011, Samantha's litter. She was a great mother and had a wonderfully smooth labor.
Alexander's August Rush
"August", a handsome Golden Retriever, is my littlest brother's companion. He's goofy, he's awkward and he's funny. And Roque thinks he's unbearably slow and clumsy. But they love him. He's a different type of dog than we've had in the past many years. After having two shih-tzu's and three Australian Shepherds growing up it's a nice break for my parents to have a less "intense" dog in the household. Though we are no strangers to the water breeds! In our old house when I was just a young kid we had both a Labrador Retriever and a Golden Retriever.
